Hello, from Pamela Dixon! I am proud to be featured in The Brunswick News! If you’d like to learn more about who I am, my services as an experienced licensed Medicare insurance agent, and my passion for providing exceptional service to my members, I invite you to read the article below! Local Medicare Agent Continues to Provide Exceptional Service
For Pamela Dixon, serving her community is a way of life. For the last 27 years, her husband, Bruce, and she have been active participants in the Golden Isles community: from supporting local charities, to serving in leadership of organizations, to being active members in their church. Dixon’s passion for service inspired her to choose a career as a Medicare insurance agent, where she felt led to make a much-needed difference.
“As a local, trusted Medicare insurance agent, I am passionate about educating our community members on Medicare, guiding them in choosing their most beneficial health plan, and enrolling them in their selected plan,” Dixon said.

Specializing in health plans that complement one’s Medicare, Dixon explained several scenarios where our local community has needed her expertise.
“Most often, my clients are brand new to Medicare and contact me before their 65th birthday. They report feeling overwhelmed when attempting to navigate the complexities of Medicare alone. They are looking for someone to hold their hand and lead them step-by-step through the entire Medicare process from start to finish,” Dixon said. “With the custom Medicare timeline I create for them to follow, I also help these clients avoid expensive penalties that can arise.”
Community members in many other situations can also utilize Dixon’s services.
“For people choosing to work past 65, I can do the math to easily determine if their employer’s health plan or full Medicare would be more beneficial to them,” Dixon explained. “I can also help people who are considering retirement to seamlessly transition from their employer’s health plan to full Medicare.”
Dixon is often called upon by new community members who have recently moved to the Golden Isles from a different state.
“When a person with Medicare moves to another state, they may be required to change Medicare health plans,” Dixon said. “I am happy to guide newcomers through selecting and enrolling in a new plan that suits their needs.”
Dixon is also ready to help folks in Glynn County who are set to lose their current health plan in 2025.
“At times, insurance carriers pull plans from counties. If a community member receives notice that their current health plan will not be available effective January 2025 in Glynn County, and they do not have an agent to assist them in selecting the most beneficial plan for their unique circumstances, they can contact me right away,” Dixon said. “After I enroll them in their new plan, they can get back to living their life with peace of mind about their healthcare.”
Sometimes life changes take place and health plan needs change. As this year’s Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) approaches – beginning on October 15 and ending on December 7 – community members who are interested in changing their plan but don’t have a local agent can call upon Dixon for her help.
Before and during the Medicare AEP season, folks who have a Medicare plan will become inundated with phone calls and mail from other agents and agencies — many of whom are from out of state — attempting to convince seniors to change their health plans for their own personal gain.
“One of the biggest benefits for a Golden Isles resident who has me as their personal Medicare agent is that I live and work right here in our community,” Dixon said. “I have extensive knowledge about the plans that are available and accepted in our area. The best interests of my clients are always at the heart of my services.”
Dixon’s passion for serving her clients has brought her national recognition. For the last five consecutive years, Dixon’s focus on educating her clients about Medicare has led to her earning the Platinum Premier Producer designation – the highest honor given to the Top 2% of UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare insurance agents in America.

“Knowing that UnitedHealthcare is the #4 company on the Forbes 500 list, the magnitude of this award is quite significant!” Dixon said. “I am honored that my dedication to my clients continues to be recognized.”
Dixon’s clients recognize her dedication, too, and they are sharing their positive experiences with their family and friends.
One happy client was Mike F. of Saint Simons, who was ready to make a health plan change.
“Pamela Dixon has proven to be a Godsend to us. I contacted her after an unsatisfactory experience with a Medicare Advantage plan. She listened to our concerns, then educated us on a plan that fit our needs perfectly. My wife had to undergo extensive back surgery shortly after we changed plans, and I cannot estimate how much money and frustration Pamela has saved us. Her continued follow-up reflects the care she expresses for her clients. I would give her 10 stars, if possible,” he said.
Newcomers Bob & Marlis K. of Saint Simons are also grateful for Dixon as their Medicare agent.
“Moving to St. Simons from Pittsburgh meant a lot of changes, especially with insurance policies. We asked Pamela Dixon for a review of our coverage. She suggested moving to a different plan within the same company for better coverage & almost $2000/year less! Pamela is a great advisor; no pressure, just a clear explanation of Medicare health plans. Naturally the savings are enjoyable but having a better understanding of our expanded coverage is the real winner. It was a good day for us when we went to Pamela Dixon!” he said.
Referrals for Dixon’s trusted Medicare expertise have caused a steady increase in the number of community members reaching out to her about her services, to include large companies and corporations interested in her Medicare 101 presentations.
To ensure each current and new client receives the level of attention and care they deserve, Dixon recently expanded her agency – Dixon Benefit Group – and brought on board a second licensed Medicare insurance agent: her son-in-law, Josh Wilkerson.
“Josh has the same passion as I do for providing our clients with exceptional service,” Dixon said, “He is an asset to my agency, and our clients love him.”
With Wilkerson being an experienced agent licensed with additional Medicare health insurance carriers, Dixon Benefit Group now offers an expanded portfolio of health plans to their clients.

Dixon and Wilkerson will work side-by-side during this year’s Medicare AEP season. Their focus will continue to be on personal consultations with clients — either in-person or over the phone – allowing them to devote their full attention to each client.
